SOLAS Anti-Splashing Tape:
Spray-Stop or Anti-Splashing Tape is used in the maritime and offshore industries. This high-tack tape, made with several layers of laminated aluminum, was designed by top safety experts with the aim of preventing the occurrence of an outbreak of fire caused by a splash of hot and combustible liquids, such as fuel oil or lubricating oil, from oil pipes connected to an engine or generator in a ship's engine room. This sort outbreak is particularly dangerous for it can cause fires and explosions. According with Amendment No. II-2/15..2.11 from the International Convention of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), ships are obliged to apply this tape to prevent spraying or leakage of flammable liquids from plumbing (FO, LO and other piping). SOLAS Retroreflective Tape:
This is a light reflecting tape to be applied to all safety devices such as buoys, life vests, jackets, rafts, immersion suits, drums, cones, etc. This product is made of encapsulated retroreflective lens sheeting, highly flexible therefore ideal for applying in work zone devices. Specially developed to be used in the maritime industry, the retroreflective SOLAS tape ensures long durability, high brightness and anti-delamination. All products provide high reflectivity over a wide range of entrance angles, whether dry or wet. Retroreflective SOLAS tape is the colour silver under daylight and reflects a bright white. It's available not only in adhesive but also to be stitched on clothing.
