Description
Spray-Stop or Anti-Splashing Tape is used in marine and offshore industries. This high layers of laminated aluminum, was designed by top safety experts with the aim of preventing the occurrence outbreak of fire caused by a splash of hot and liquids, such as fuel oil or lubricating oil, from oil pipes connected to an engine or a generator in a ship’s engine room. This sort of outbreak is particularly dangerous for it can cause fires and explosions.
According with Amendment No. II International Convention of Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), to prevent spraying or leakage of flammable liquids from plumbing (FO, LO and other piping)
This product complies with IMO A653(6) regulation DNV, ClassNK, Germanischer Lloyd, Bureau Veritas, ABS and KR.
Application
Piping, valves, pressure gauges or any other auxiliary parts become loose due to vibration, fatigue, deterioration or excess tension and tend to become damaged with a pinhole or a crack. Parts with anti-splashing tape will protect exhaust pipes and other high temperature from being exposed to splashes of combustible oil and thus preventing the possibility of fire.
